Made to Be Worn
Heritage leather shoes and bags, made in small batches and meant to last.
La Prestigio began with a quiet conviction: that the things we wear most should be the things made best. Not produced by the thousand, but by the dozen, in small batches, by hands that know the leather.
We make heritage shoes and bags from full-grain hides, built on classic lasts and Goodyear-welted so they can be resoled rather than replaced. They are made to be worn for years, not seasons.
The Beginning
A small workshop
It started in a single room with a handful of lasts and a long apprenticeship's worth of patience. We chose to stay small on purpose, small enough that every pair passes through one maker's hands from cutting to finishing.
That decision shapes everything: how much we make, how we choose our leather, and why we'd rather you bought one pair that lasts than three that don't.
The Leather
Full-grain, only
We work in full-grain calf and vegetable-tanned bridle leather, with hides chosen for character, not uniformity. They start firm and a little reserved, then soften and deepen with wear into something that's unmistakably yours.
No two pieces age alike. That's the point.
